He was also a member of the United Mine Workers of America having retired as a repairman from Bethlehem Coal Company. He had also worked previously on road jobs and at rock quarries. Glenn was a jack of all trades, he could make or repair about anything. He was an avid outdoorsman, he loved hunting and fishing and was well known for being a mountain man.
