POUND, VA-Wallace Mullins, 77, passed away peacefully Tuesday January 25, 2022 while surrounded by his loving family from Holston Valley Medical Center- Kingsport, TN. Baker Funeral Home-Pound, VA is serving the family of Gilmer “Marty” Boggs. POUND, VA – Gilmer “Marty” Boggs, 53, entered peacefully into eternity Monday January 31, 2022 from his brother’s residence.

Actual residents of the Bunkers' age continued using exchange names into the early 1980s, which is referred to in the 1979 episode "The Appendectomy", in which Edith gets confused between the two versions of a number she is dialing. Many real Queens institutions are mentioned throughout the series. Carroll O'Connor, a Queens native from Forest Hills, said in an interview with the Archive of American Television that he suggested to the writers many of the locations to give the series authenticity. For example, Archie is said to have attended Flushing High School, a real school in Flushing, Queens (although in the "Man Of The Year" episode of Archie Bunker's Place, Archie attended Bryant High School in nearby Long Island City). As another example, the 1976 episode "The Baby Contest" deals with Archie entering baby Joey in a cutest-baby contest sponsored by the Long Island Daily Press, a then-operating local newspaper in Queens and Long Island.

Pound VFW Post 9600 will conduct military services on the church parking lot.

Violet was preceded in death by her husband Jack Branham; her parents Arvil and Dollie Short; a son, Jackie Branham; sisters Kay Short, Loretta Fleming, Alberta Maggard and Sandra Short; brothers Eslin Short, Wade Short and Burnis Short. Really good at framing structures and at welding as well. He truly enjoyed the time he spent with his family and friends.
Joe is preceded in death by his father and mother, Harry H. And Beatrice E. Hicks; his first wife, Betty S. Yeary; second wife, Zelma A. Hicks; infant daughter, Tina R. Hicks; one sister Connie Mullins; stepdaughter Belinda Woodruff. Several step-grandchildren; step-greatgrandchildren; nieces and nephews. And Roy Mullins -Eolia, KY; several nieces, nephews and cousins; his church family and a host of friends and loved ones.

She loved her animals like they were her children, and had a heart for all four- legged animals; so much so that she unintentionally provided many fur- children for her family.

The family will receive friends from 5PM until time of services. Graveside committal services will be held at 11AM, Friday, December 9, 2022, at Laurel Grove Cemetery in Norton, VA. Family and friends are asked to meet at the church by 10AM to prepare to go in procession to the cemetery. His legacy lives on through his daughter Ashton Gardner, son Tyler Gardner , daughter Kaylee Gardner, and son Brent Gardner.

POUND, VA – Caitlin Janelle Cantrell, 29, entered into eternity unexpectedly Wednesday June 15, 2022 from the Dickenson Community Hospital. Eddie was preceded in death by his parents Arlin and Neada Carol Mullins; his half-sister Sandra Mullins; and his half-brothers Bobby Joe Gilley and Roy Gilley. Burial will follow at Mt. Zion Cemetery-Pound, VA where family members and friends will serve as pallbearers.
Victoria was born August 23, 1940 in Fort Gay, WV to the late Milton and Polly Lee Jordan. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Ernest Daniels; daughter Thelma Copley; and siblings James Harvey Jordan, Louise Fugitt, Fiona Lester, and Elsie Ward. PAYNE GAP, KY- Glenn Edward Rose, 83, entered into his eternal home with his Lord and Savior Saturday July 16, 2022 from his son’s home at Millstone. Jen is preceded in death by her father Bobby Adams, son Bobby Ulis Sturgill, brother Ricky Adams, nephew Nathan Adams and niece Paige Adams.
